What is a Sling Meet?

The aim of Sling Meets is to promote, practice and teach about the art of babywearing - quite simply using a cloth baby sling or carrier to carry your baby or child. You can find lots of reasons for and benefits of babywearing in the 'Articles and Resources' section.

The meetings will be a relatively informal with a mix of teaching and chat and will hopefully evolve over time to meet everyone's needs. There will be experienced babywearers on hand to give demonstrations how to use a particular sling/carrier as well as share their own experiences and troubleshoot any problems people might have with their sling.

There will be lots of different types of slings and carriers at the meeting and there will be an opportunity for people to try them out with help from an experienced user. Everyone is welcome whether you are an experienced babywearer, casual sling user or are confused by this babywearing malarky and want to learn more! If you regularly use one type of sling/carrier you have knowledge that is useful for others so please come along and share your experience. Of course no meeting is complete without a cuppa and a biscuit!

Look forward to seeing some new faces :-)
