I tend to feel slightly despondent going to an August Sling Meet because in past years they have always been very quiet. I've put it down to people being away on summer holidays and also because they may have older children off school and worry they will be bored. With this being our first August meet at Widemarsh I wasn't sure what the turn out would be like.....well I needn't have worried! A combination of some great word of mouth promotion plus there being information about Sling Meet available to anyone who visits the Widemarsh Centre meant we had a really busy meet.
Lots of new mums and scrummy babies - thank you to everyone who came. Apologies to anyone who had to wait to try slings on or get some advice - it was a bit manic. Wondering whether perhaps we need a bit of structure to the meets in the future? Maybe putting people who want help with the same thing into groups might limit the amount of waiting people have to do and also mean we can fit more in to the time. What does everyone think? If anyone has any suggestions feel free to join the Google Group which is where discussions will be happening.
And of course because it was so busy I totally forgot to take any photos....
